StudiVZ is touted as the biggest social networking site in Germany with over 12 million users. Facebook has sued the company though, claiming intellectual property infringement.

Facebook lawyers filed the suit in a California court, alleging that StudiVZ stole ideas from their social networking site.

Facebook stated that the only difference StudiVZ made was with colors, and is asking the court to shut down the illegal activity of StudiVZ.

The head of StudiVZ has stated that the only reason the lawsuit has come out is that Facebook has been unsuccessful in Germany thus far.
