The Wall Street Journal has reported that Dell is planning to release the new digital music player this coming September.

It is expected that it will be a high-tech device, but at the same time will be priced under $100.

The new Dell digital music player will be able to link to any Dell PC, as well as to the Dell music subscription service wirelessly in order to sync music, among other things.

Dell is using software from Zing Systems for the player, as well as the music service.

This is the first entry from Dell into the market since they launched the Dell DJ back in 2003.
