Hacker Successful In Getting Scrabble Off Of Facebook
July 31, 2008
Boston (ChattahBox) - A hacker who was reportedly not too pleased with the fact that Scrabulous had been taken off of Facebook following a lawsuit from Hasbro, successfully managed to take the official Scrabble game off of the social networking site.
A couple of days ago, Hasbro Inc. filed a lawsuit against the creators of Scrabulous, Rajat and Jayant Agarwalla, which they responded to by removing the game from the site.
This did not make Scrabulous fans happy to say the least.
According to a new report in the Los Angeles Times, a hacker too matters into his or her own hands, and removed the official Scrabble game from Facebook.
EA is blaming hackers, stating “EA’s Scrabble Facebook game experienced a malicious attack this morning, resulting in the disabling of Scrabble on Facebook. We’re working with our partners to resolve this issue and have Scrabble back online and ready to play as soon as possible.”
