The new Blu-ray player is called the LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player, and will do a lot more than play Blu-ray movies.

The new Blu-ray player will be able to play Blu-ray movies, and will also stream movies and other content from Netflix thanks to a network jack it has built-in.

This comes one month after they signed a deal to distribute streaming movies over Xbox Live as well

LG is expected to release this new Blu-ray player in September in the U.S., with a price point far below $500, according to LG.

As of this point, there is no word yet as to what the actual price point of the device is going to be.
