Intel Aims To Take On Nvidia, ATI With Larrabee Graphics Chip

Intel is set to enter the PC gaming market with a new graphics chip known as Larrabee..Washington (ChattahBox) – Intel is set to enter the PC gaming market with a new graphics chip known as Larrabee.

The Intel graphics chip Larrabee is the new stand-alone graphics chip from the company, putting them in the middle of the PC gaming market, going up against juggernauts ATI and Nvidia.

This marks the first time Intel is going away from integrated graphics, and going with a stand-alone chip..

The Larrabee will run on the universal Intel x86 architecture, and is expected to feature dozens of cores, and evolve over time.

Intel is touting it as combining the best of a CPU with a graphics processor.
