The End May Be Near For The Nvidia Chipset Division

According to reports, Nvidia may be getting very close to shutting down their chipset division.Boston (ChattahBox) – According to reports, Nvidia may be getting very close to shutting down their chipset division.

Rumors have stated that Nvidia is set to stop future developments of their nForce media and communication processors, which make up their chipsets.

Nothing has been confirmed to this point, but this comes at a bad time for Nvidia as they are getting ready for Nvision 2008, a developer event.

This bad press is certainly not what Nvidia wanted before the event takes place in San Jose, California on August 25th.

Charlie Demerjian of The Inquirer has reported that Nvidia chipsets are pretty much dead to this point.

Again though, nothing can be confirmed until we hear it from Nvidia.
