Apple has launched the first update to the iPhone 2.0 software, improving performance and fixing bugs.........Washington (ChattahBox) – Apple has launched the first update to the iPhone 2.0 software, improving performance and fixing bugs.

Apple released the iPhone 2.0.1 update on Monday afternoon, coming in the form of a 249.2MB download.

The update reportedly fixes many major bugs reported by iPhone and iPod Touch users, who also received a similar update.

On top of that, it also improves many performance issues related to the update.

The updates address security, feature, as well as maintenance issues, changing things around such as your ability to drag app icons across multiple pages, improving contacts, making the back-up process faster, etc.

Other improvements have to do with how applications run off the home screen, keypad loads, and improved sync times.
