The social network Friendster has hired former Google executive Richard Kimber as their new CEO..Washington (ChattahBox) – The social network Friendster has hired former Google executive Richard Kimber as their new CEO.

Friendster has been making quite the comeback, as they also announced that they have already raised $20 million in venture funding.

Richard Kimber worked at Google as the regional managing director in Southeast Asia, which will help Friendster, who is doing the most business in the Asia-Pacific region.

Friendster is a very popular social network in the Asia-Pacific region topping out as the No. 1 social network in countries such as Singapore.

Friendster has over 75 million members to date, and continues to grow.
