The brand new card, being touted as the graphics card for hardcore PC gamers, is called the AMD Radeon 4870 X2.

AMD has suffered seven quarterly losses in-a-row, but hopes that this can turn things around.

This card is believed to be faster than anything out there, including two graphics processing units, or GPUs that work together.

This is twice as powerful, according to AMD, as anything released by either company in the past.

The new graphics card will release this week, with the price tag of $549.
