Google Brings Gmail E-Mail Service Back Online, All Is Fixed

Google has been able to completely restore their Gmail e-mail service, fixing issues which came up yesterday....Boston (ChattahBox) – Google has been able to completely restore their Gmail e-mail service, fixing issues which came up yesterday.

At around 5 p.m. EST on Monday, the Gmail e-mail service went down, hitting those who use the service in the U.S., Canada, and India.

Google has stated that the issue was caused by a glitch in the Gmail contacts system server, but all has been fixed.

The Google Gmail team wrote in their blog, “We’ve identified the source of this issue and fixed it. In addition, as with all issues that affect Gmail and our other services, we’re conducting a full review of what went wrong and moving quickly to update our internal systems and procedures accordingly,”

Millions use the Gmail e-mail service daily.
