FCC Green Lights HTC Dream, Google Android SDK Updated

The Google Android mobile software platform has had a big week, as the first phone, the HTC Dream, has been given the green light by the FCC.  This comes as the Google Android SDK was also updated.....Washington (ChattahBox) – The Google Android mobile software platform has had a big week, as the first phone, the HTC Dream, has been given the green light by the FCC. This comes as the Google Android SDK was also updated.

The FCC has given the green light to the first Google Android phone, the HTC DREA100, also known as the HTC Dream.

The expectation now is that T-Mobile will begin to market the HTC Dream, which is expected to release in late October, or early November..

The feeling is that the HTC Dream will be the first true competitor to the iPhone.

The actual paltform has also been upgraded, as Google released Google Android SDK 0.9, one step closer to the 1.0 release.

New features include add-on apps such as a music player, camera, messaging, alarm clock, and much more.
