The settlement will have Immersion paying Microsoft the amount of $20 million of Sony’s money.

Immersion, a company well-known for tactile feedback technology filed a lawsuit against Sony and Microsoft for patent infringement back in 2002..

Both of the lawsuits were settled by Microsoft and Sony, with both companies working with Immersion.

Back in June of 2007 though, Microsoft decided to fight back.

They sued Immersion, stating that they never received part of the settlement Immersion received from Sony, as part of their deal.

Immersion countered this by stating that Microsoft was guilty of breaking a confidentiality agreement.

A settlement has been reached, as Immersion will pay $20.75 million of Sony’s money to Microsoft, and will get inot the Microsoft Certified Partner Program.
