Microsoft has made some big progress this week with the release of Internet Explorer 8 beta 2.

To this point, all who have been able to get their hands on the new browser are very impressed, as some great new features are being introduced.

The first big new fetaure is the highly-anticipated InPrivate Browsing mode, or “porn mode” as many are calling it.

This allows users to surf the Web in private, stopping IE8 from tracking anything at all.

On top of that, another new feature is Web Slices, allowing users to have parts of sites delivered to them automatically basically.

Other nice new features include updated tabbed browsering, the Search Box Suggestion feature, and of course security and speed updates.

Only time will tell if it can top Firefox, but things are looking good.
