Comcast made the announcement last week that they are going to place a 250GB data limit on users each and every month........Washington (ChattahBox) - Comcast made the announcement last week that they are going to place a 250GB data limit on users each and every month.

Comcast, the second-largest Internet service provider in the U.S., was recently slapped by the FCC for their negative network practices.

This came after it was found that Comcast was slowing or blocking P2P file-sharing traffic over their network.

Comcast is trying to make up for their mistakes by announcing the 250GB bandwith cap, going into effetct on October 1st.  This cap is per account, and will apply to all residential customers.

If a user goes over the cap once, they will get a warning.  Going over the cap again within the next 6 months results in a 12-months supension of service.

This will impact the minority of internet users, who will likely not be happy by the move.
