Co-Founder, CTO Of iRobot Heads For The Exit

Washington (ChattahBox) - The co-founder and CTO of iRobot, Rodney Brooks, has announced he is going to be leaving the company.
Rodney Brooks stated that he will be leaving the company to start a new robotics company.
He is already hard at work on his new company, which will not compete with iRobot.
The company, Heartland Robotics is based in Cambridge, Mass and will work to build industrial worker robots.
Rodney Brooks released a statement online, saying “I want to effect a powerful evolution in the world’s labor markets, and my current focus is to develop low-cost robots that will empower American workers.”
He will remain on the board of directors for iRobot, and the company will begin to find a new CTO in 2009.
