Hosting Service McColo Closed After Spam Involvement

The California hosting service McColo has been closed due to its role in spam cases.<br /> .....Washington (ChattahBox) – The California hosting service McColo has been closed due to its role in spam cases.

Internet service providers joined to shut down the hosting company.

Experts believe the host McColo was responsible for nearly 70% of the spam in the U.S.

Once th ehost was dropped, they saw the rate of spam go from 40 spam messages per secondĀ  down to 10 spam messages per second.

In the coming days this may go back up as spammers go to a new host.
