US (ChattahBox) – After months of rumors that the US supergiant Walmart would be authorized to sell the Apple iPhone 3G, it has been announced that they will be officially releasing it in their stores, and at some seriously discounted rates.

The iPhone 3G will be sold for $197.00 (for the 8GB), or $297.00 (for the 16GB), and each is set to be offered for that price with a two year AT&T agreement, or qualified upgrade.

The iPhone 3G goes on sale at all Walmart chains on Sunday, December 28th.
