Wolfram Alpha is NOT a search engine, its a COMPUTATIONAL ENGINE. It is not going to directly compete with google’s market, maybe side-by-side by not directly against one another.

You people have got to be kidding? If it was a computation engine, it would actually do some…. computations. The reality is that its worthless. Seriously, go try it, then instead of plugging in the predefined examples they have been pushing, put in a query for an answer you need. Thought so.

I wish people would stop Wolfram|Alpha a search engine. It is not a search engine. If anything, it is a computation engine. It doesn’t search the Web looking for answers. It computes answers to questions using a vast array of data sources.
