Google Chrome 2, gets even speedier and adds a few more features (Video)

(ChattahBox) — The Google Chrome team has some new updates that they claim make the already speedy browser up to an additional 30 percent faster when it comes to loading web pages. Specifically JavaScript-heavy webpages (such as Gmail), will now run 30% faster on Chrome, according to Google. The update, internally called Chrome 2, is being automatically rolled out to current users and is also available for download, according to Chrome team member Darin Fisher, writing in the Google corporate blog.

Additionally, a few new features are being released with this update, which, continue to make Chrome a serious alternative to the likes of Firefox and IE. There is now web form auto-fill , an option to customize the website thumbnails you see when you open a new tab, full page zoom, and a new full-screen mode (by pressing F11), options that already common in competing browsers.  Google says its fixed over 300 bugs that have caused crashes since it first launched.
