D’oh! TomTom Adds Homer Simpson’s Voice

June 17, 2009

(ChattahBox)—D’oh! The popular TomTom automobile GPS system that helps many of us navigate the nation’s highways and byways, has just added the wise-cracking, intellectually challenged voice of Homer Simpson to its ever-expanding celebrity voice offerings.

Homer’s comedic stylings, provided by actor Dan Castellaneta are sure to entertain a weary driver making a cross-country trek or on a mundane daily commute, as Homer searches for ice cream. “We might find an ice cream truck! Mmm…ice cream,” says the voice of Homer in one of many humorous asides.

Homer joins nearly 70 celebrity voices, such as the character Mr T, Sex and The City actress Kim Cattrall and the voice of Kit from the old series Knight Rider, soon to arrive.

TomTom owners can download Homer’s voice for $12.95 on the company’s website.

I’m a big fan of the Mr. T voice they do. I think they must be partners with Navtones as this is where I got my Mr. T and Kim Cattrall voice from but you can also get them from TomTom.

Navtones website says they have the KITT voice coming too. Now that will be cool!

Homer vs Mr. T, I like them both but i think Mr. T edges it!
