Google Invites New Customers For Voice Service

June 25, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – Google has opened up their Google Voice service, and has begun sending out email invites to past users of GrandCentral, as well as those who expressed interest by sending in requests for an account.

“If you requested an invitation on the Google Voice site or previously on GrandCentral, keep your eye out for an invite e-mail,” said an official post on the Google blog, and was quoted by Information Week.

The service allows users to link up to six phone numbers to their account, and route them all through a single number, making it much easier for those who have home, cell, and company numbers.

It also provides free US calls, and cheap International rates, putting it on par with services like Skype.
