New Details on Google Phone Revealed?

December 30, 2009

(ChattahBox) – Information on the the Nexus One, also known as the Google Phone, has been leaking out in small bits.  It’s believed that the Google phone will run Android 2.1 and have a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, high-resolution display and will have full-touch control. Reports yesterday indicate that the phone will likely be officially revealed on January 5th at a Google press conference. According to Gizmodo, which has gotten their hands on some screen shots, here are some of the key details, beside the fact you need to start saving your money:

– Price: $530 unsubsidized and unlocked, $180 subsidized on the T-Mobile network with a 2 year contract.

– Rate Plan: $79.99 per month on T-Mobile, which includes unlimited texting/MMS and web data, along with 500 minutes. This seems to be the only plan available, even if you’re already on another plan with T-Mobile

– Purchasing: You can buy up to five Nexus One phones per Google account.

– Cancellation: If you cancel within 120 days, you have to pay the subsidy difference ($350) or return the phone to Google.
