New Government-Formed Regulations For Broadband Providers Announced

May 7, 2010

US (ChattahBox) – The Obama administration has announced new changes that will effect the policies and practices of broadband Internet providers as part of their plan to give access to high-speed to all Americans.

A large part of the regulation has to do with net neutrality, which would force companies to provide the same rights to all consumers, rather than providing special treatment and access to companies.

The FCC is rushing forward with plans to begin policy changes on this and other factors that would more heavily regular communications companies.

But they say these regulations will be small in comparison to what they might expect, providing a “third” way between the lack of rules now, and the overdone rules of the companies themselves.
