California Wildfires Force 1,000 To Evacuate
April 28, 2008
Los Angeles (ChattahBox) – The wildfire which began in California over the weekend has forced 1,000 people to evacuate their homes as it continues to spread and cause great damage.
The fire kicked off on Saturday afternoon due to extremely high temperatures and has spread 400-acres, putting many people at risk.
Near record temperatures are believed to be the blame for the start of the fire, but with winds slowing down the hope is that authorities will be able to contain the blaze by the middle of the week.
Some 500 homeos have been forced to go under mandatory evacuation order though to try and keep everyone safe.
