Al Gore believes that within the next ten years, we can have electricity running through wind power, solar power, and other environmentally friendly sources.

Al Gore laid down the challenge at an energy conference in Washington, and was received very warmly.

He stated “today I challenge our nation to commit to producing 100 percent of our electricity from renewable energy and truly clean, carbon-free sources within 10 years.”

He has stressed that by fixing the energy crisis in the U.S., the economy will also receive a boost.

The former vice president has focused his time over the past years on energy, and has won a Nobel Prize for it as he continues to push for improvement.
