A gunman opened fire during a Sunday morning service at a Tennessee Valley Unitarian Church in Knoxville.....Nashville (ChattahBox) - A gunman opened fire during a Sunday morning service at a Tennessee Valley Unitarian Church in Knoxville.

The shooting took place a little after 10 a.m on Sunday morning, with several people seriously injured.

The person who was killed is being called a hero, as the victim jumped in front of the gunman to save other people from being shot.

The gunman was carrying a shotgun, and fires either two or three times.

The gunman is believed to be male, in his mid-40s, and white.

A suspect was taken into custody at the church. Members of the church tackled him down before he could shoot any other people.
