The MBTA recently filed a lawsuit against these 3 MIT students, and all is going in their favor thus far.

They have been very successful to this point, as they have managed to get a temporary injunction put in place. This will restrict the 3 MIT students, blocking their plans to reveal how they hacked into the MBTA system.

The MBTA hopes that this will buy them enough time to fix security holes in their system, blocking the MIT students from revealing how they were able to offer free subway rides.

The MBTA believes that the information, if released, would cause major damages to the transit system.

They have sued for unspecified damages, and has asked for an extended injunction.
