The ruling was that doctors do not have the right to actually treat who they want, simply because of their religious beliefs.

This unanimous decision came in a case involving Gudalupe Benitez, a lesbian woman who was denied treatment at the North Coast Women’s Care in Vista by doctors.

She filed a lawsuit, stating that doctors refused to treat her with artificial insemination back in 2000 because she was a lesbian, and that was against the doctors’ Christian beliefs.

She went to another clinic and has since given birth to 3 kids, and has a family with her partner of 18 years.

With his new ruling, doctors cannot deny treatment to gays or lesbians because of religiuos background.

This comes after the court a few months ago reversed a ban on same-sex marriage in California.
