Man Faces Life In Prison For Plan To Use Puffer Fish Poison

Boston (ChattahBox) - A 35-year old man from Illinois named Edward F. Bachner IV, is facing life in prison for planning to use deadly poison from a puffer fish as a weapon.
On Tuesday, a 10-count federal indictment was handed down against the man.
Prosecutors state that he obtained the deadly poison on five different occasions from November 2006, to this past June, and had all intentions on using it as a weapon.
The man is going to dispute all of the charges though, as he has entered a plea of not guilty on all counts.
The big question from federal authorities is what the actual motive was behind trying ot obtain the puffer fish poison.
A couple of years back, it was revealed though that he placed a $5 million life insurance policy on his wife and sought out a hitman. He was never charged for this though.
