The new report, released by researchers at the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, has shown that Obama’s health care plan would do better than McCain’s at reducing the number of uninsured Americans in the U.S.

Just this week, the U.S. Census Bureau came out and stated that the number of uninsured Americans dropped from 2006 to 2007 from 47 million to 45.7 million.

The two presidential candidates, Obama and McCain, have been spending a lot of time talking health care.

The Obama plan pushes to require children to have health insurance, and offers cheaper solutions for adults. McCain’s plan offers tax credits to people to buy health insurance.

The numbers, as reported by USNews.com, reveal that Obama and his plan would be able to reduce the number of uninsured Americans by 18 million in 2009, and 34 million by 2018.

This compared to McCain’s plan which would cut the numbers by 1 million in 2009, and by 5 million in 2013.

The numbers are being stressed as estimates only at this point.
