It has been three years since New Orleans was hit by Hurricane Katrina, leaving the country in ruins.

Now, a new storm is ready to slam right into the city, as residents and rescue workers prepare.

By the time Tuesday comes around, it is expected that Gustav, now a tropical storm, will be a category 3 hurricane with sustained winds of 115 mph.

Forecasters have stressed that the actual path of Gustav is not yet known, as it is impossible to determine where it will hit when it makes landfall.

Projections right now though have it heading straight for New Orleans, making landfall next Tuesday.

The major of New Orleans, Ray Nagin, has stated that if it is a category 2 or 3, he would order a mandatory evacuation of the city.

As of today, the storm is centered on the cost of Jamaica, and will likely pick up steam over the ocean as it heads for land.
