Man Forces Daughter To Kill Family Cat, Gets Jail Time

Washington (ChattahBox) - A man from Indiana has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for forcing his daughter to kill the family cat.
The man from Muncie, Indiana admitted that he forced his 7-year-old daughter to kill the family cat.
The man, Danield Collins, entered a guilty plea to two felony counts of neglect of a dependent, as well as a count of animal cruelty.
In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors agreed that they would drop three other felony charges.
Back in March, he told his daughter that he wanted her to learn how to kill.
He made her hold a knife, and stab the family cat.
He will also receive counseling, parenting classes, as well as substance abuse treatment.
