McCain Health Care Plan May Not Be The Best Long-Term
September 29, 2008
Washington (ChattahBox) - Republican presidential candidate John McCain has admitted that his health care plan may mean higher taxes, as experts fear it is not the best long-term solution.
John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, admitted to George Stephanoloulos of ABC t hat his health care plan would likely increase taxes.
These tax increases would be mainly for the wealthiest people, but the ordinary working Americans could take the hit as well.
Experts fear that the McCain health care plan, which focuses on giving tax credits to pay for health insurance, is not the best long-term solution.
This is because in the long-run, the credits will not keep up with rising premiums, leading to more expensive care overall in the long-haul.
