Michigan College Forced To Shut Down Due To Norovirus

The Hope College in Holland, Michigan has been forced to shut down due to a norovirus outbreak......Detroit (ChattahBox) – The Hope College in Holland, Michigan has been forced to shut down due to a norovirus outbreak.

The Ottawa County Health Department has confirmed over the weekend that the virus has sickened hundreds.

In total, out of the 3,200 students at Hope College, nearly 400 have been sickened by the norovirus.

Symptoms linked to the disease include nausea, vomiting, as well as diarrhea.

Faculty and staff have been said to have been sickened in great numbers as well.

Health officials have stated the college will stay closed until at least Wednesday as they clean it and try to find the source.
