Winona Ryder rushed to hospital off transatlantic flight

(ChattahBox) — Winona Ryder has been rushed to a hospital today, Wednesday, after falling ill during a flight from the U.S. to London. The 37-year-old’s condition is not yet known but the illness was sufficiently serious for the pilot of the British Airways plane to request a priority landing at Heathrow Airport.

A rep for the Hillingdon Hospital in Uxbridge, west London, said that Ryder was treated by medics directly off the plane while at Heathrow Airport and then taken to the hospital. BA said their crew looked after her as much as they could while on board, and passenger service staff accompanied her to hospital.

Update: A spokeswoman for Ryder now says: She did fall ill on a flight and as a precautionary measure, was taken to a hospital. She was there maybe an hour and was released. The bottom line is she is in good health.”
