The Bushes Confirm Purchasing a House in Dallas

December 5, 2008

Dallas (ChattahBox) — The White House announced Wednesday that the Bushes have purchased a house in Dallas in Preston Hollow but not surprisingly refused to give a complete address for privacy. Speculations have rested though on a house in Daria Palace in Preston Hollow neighborhood which is likely to be the post-White House residence of the soon the former President George W. Bush and the First Lady Laura Bush. They will be in politically friendly territory again in the wealthy North Dallas neighborhood they left when Bush became the governor of Texas in 1995.

The Daria Palace house has been purchased in the name of Robert McClesky of Midland who is a long time Bush family accountant. The former owners of the house still occupy the property and have refused to comment on details of the transaction. An adjacent property 10151 Daria Place is under contract and the Bushes are expected to purchase that property as well. However, it remains unclear as how they would use the land or the property in the future.

Moving from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to Daria Place will be considerable downsizing for the Bushes. However the new house is spread across 8501 quare foot with four bed-rooms and four-and-a-half-bath residence. It is located at the end of the tree-lined cul-de-sac flanked by several estates. It promises a lot of privacy to the Bushes who have not enjoyed that liberty for several years now.
