National Poll Says 75% Happy To See Bush Go

December 27, 2008

US (ChattahBox) – With less then a month to go before President George W Bush steps down from his place in office, it looks like plenty of people in the US think it isn’t soon enough.

According to a recent national poll conducted by CNN/Opinion Research Corp., 3 out of 4 Americans are thrilled to see the end of his presidency. Only 23% say they will be sad to see him go.

After the huge number of blunders, the humiliating speeches, a war based on faulty intelligence, a failing economy, reports of torture, and fallen international standing in the eight years of his administration, it isn’t hard to see why people are happy to see the back of him.

“Earlier this year, Bush scored some of the lowest presidential approval ratings we’ve seen in half a century, so it’s understandable that the public is eager for a new president to step in,” Keating Holland, the director in charge of the poll said.

Bush’s current approval rating of 27% is one of the lowest presidential ratings in history. I think that’s even Bush supporters have to admit that that dismal number speaks for itself.
