January 9, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – New information, provided by a cooperating witness in a case against one of the notorious John Gotti’s hired killers, alleges that Charles Carneglia (pictured far left) used acid to murder the man responsible for the accidental death of Gotti’s 12-year-old son.

Charles Carneglia is currently awaiting trial without another 60 mob members, who were captured last year in one of the largest organized crime busts in US history. His trial, which is to start next month, will give argue that he killed five men for John Gotti, one of which John Favara, a neighbor who accidentally killed Gotti’s son, Frank, when the boy rode a bike into the middle of the street, in 1980.

According to an informant for the prosecution, Carneglia told him that he frequently used barrels of acid to kill, as well as to dispose of bodies, as it was “the best method to use to avoid detection.” He also asked for the informants help in removing the barrels from his home, once suspicion had fallen on him for the murder.

It is unknown how many other hits he may have been hired for.
