Pitbulls were bred to attack and maim other dogs. Period. Today, my 8 pound
Papillon and I stepped out of the house and my dog saw my neighbor:s Pit Bull loose in our yard and ran out to it barking because it was in our yard. The Pit Bull, in response to my little yapper, grabbed it in it;s mouth and ripped my little dog's side open, spilling it's intestines out on the ground. I rushed my little dog to the vet's but it was too badly damaged and had to be put down. I have a picture of my dog with her intestines hanging out but it is too gross to publish,
I am sure that my story swells the heart of pit bull owners with pride because their dogs also don't take any guff off of tiny dogs, either. And any tiny dog that has the nerve to bark at a Pit Bull deserves to die, right?

I am also shocked at you Brenda, how can you compare any breed of dog to the Humans who suffered in Nazi Germany.the people who sufferd & were annihilated were not classed as being violent in any way..your assimilia is completely wrong and is completely contrary to the tragedy of the Holocaust

I am a pittbull owner. im on my 3 pittbull and never ever had a problem. I am currently a us soldier and i live in nc. i am a resident of Milwaukee, Wi. I have had the most recent pitbull for 8 months i bought him when he was 6 weeks. Pitbulls can be the most gentle and loyal dogs. Its not the dog its the owner who determines how a dog acts. none of the pitbulls ive had have ever jumped on anyone let alone bit someone. dont punish the dog for the owners naive or irresponsible mistakes
dont beat em train em

There are many types of races out there just like there are many types of dog breeds our we guilty of breed profiling here with this proposed breedism because bad people exist in all cultures just like in all dog breeds also it's not intirely the owners fault Thier dog attacks someone but I have an idea blame the individual dog and the circumstances surrounding the attack not the breed that way you can appear intiigant not a breed bigget

here is something to think about...

IF THERE ARE FEWER PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD..

WE WILL HAVE FEWER PROBLEMS.

befriend a pitbull and change your views..

They are the most loyal, loving, playfull dog I have ever owned as well. I also have been a dog owner all my life. I never liked pits. My lab lost her lifelong companion, we replaced him with a 1 yr old adopted rescued pit. When I brought him home I was in fear he would shred my lab.. THey were the best of friends for 3 years .. until she died.. and My pit sat right next to me as I dug the hole and burried her. He still lays on her grave, a spot in the yard he never hung out in, until that day.

I will own another pit when he passes on someday.

Get to know one as a dog, not as a misreprentation of a breed..

and then you will know...

I am glad to see so many people realize that Pitbulls aren't as bad as the media would want you to think.

About three years ago my wife told me that a co-worker had bulldog pups. I already had a Basset Hound and English Bulldogs have always been my favorite breed, so I was excited to get him, Then I was told he was an American Bulldog, but when I got there it was pretty clear he was a pit mix. He was the most loveable dogs I have ever seen. Him and my Basset Hound would run up and down my yard playing all the time. I know if someone broke into my house he would bite their face off, but on a normal basis he loved every person, dog and cat he ever come in contact with.

Unfortunitely a little over a year ago I was on vacation, both dogs got out of my parents yard and the Pitbull was hit by a car and died. The Basset Hound wasn't the same dog. He was always just laying around, and if I left a room he would be right behind me. After both of us were able to recover from the death, i looked up local Pitbull breeders, and I was able to find a puppy the I wanted. He turned one in June and he is just as loveable as the first one, the Basset Hound doesn't have the same tight bond with this one as the first one, but they still can't be seperated for longer then a few minutes or they will go crazy.

I am a American pitbull owner and I can't speak for everyone but I can say that I have only owned pitbulls for about five years, my husband was once a breeder. They are the most loyial, affectionate breed of dog I have ever owned, and I've been a dog owner all of my life.

I have a pit terrier she is so loving but scared alot cuz she was abused alot . I have raised dogs all my life with my parents and its not the breed cuz my father had a white lab and she bit me when i was about 7-10 yrs old and she is normally a very nice dog ... i have had experence with many different dogs and i find that they all can be agressive and tend to bite if so choosed to so dont hate the breed hate the owner that makes them that way and that dont teach there dogs right ... cuz raising dogs r kinda like raising kids you have to teach them proper behavor and what is right and what is wrong if u dont then well u can figure the rest out
