Jesse Ventura Speaks: Wants Cheney on a Waterboard, Bush Worst President

May 13, 2009

(ChattahBox)—Jesse Ventura appeared on Larry King Live this week and spoke his mind, pulling no punches, telling it like it is, as only a former pro wrestler, former Navy Seal and former Governor of Minnesota can. Larry King asked Ventura his opinions on a variety of political subjects and Ventura began the interview by calling former Senator Norm Coleman a hypocrite and that was just the beginning (Videos below).

Ventura took on Norm Coleman for delaying the inevitable and refusing to concede to Al Franken when Coleman himself, called for Franken to concede before the recount, saying Coleman has always been a hypocrite.

Ventura didn’t stop there. He also had something to say about Dick Cheney and former President Bush, none of it good. Ventura spoke of his disgust with the Bush administration’s use of waterboarding and other torture methods at Guantanamo, calling GITMO a U.S. version of Hanoi Hilton. He said point blank that George Bush was the worst president in my lifetime” and that he had “no respect for Dick Cheney.”

Ventura said that there is no question that waterboarding is torture and that everyone involved with it at every level in the Bush administration should be prosecuted. And Ventura should know whether waterboarding is torture or not, because he experienced it first hand at Survival Escape Resistance Evasion school or SERE, which was required for all Navy Seals before entering into combat during the Vietnam War.

Venture described his waterboarding experience as one of torture that subjected him to the real life terror of drowning; saying if done incorrectly subjects can swallow their tongue and die. He called Dick Cheney a coward who refused to serve in the military by requesting five deferments to escape serving in the Vietnam War.

The very man who never served in the military is now a “chicken hawk,” who sanctioned torture and called it enhanced interrogation, said Ventura.

Ventura doesn’t believe Cheney would be able to withstand waterboarding, saying “give me a water board, Dick Cheney and one hour, and I’ll have him confess to the Sharon Tate murders.”

When asked about Cheney’s attack on Colin Powell, a former Secretary of Sate and four-star General, when Cheney said Rush Limbaugh was a better Republican than Powell, Ventura scoffed at the notion, saying Colin Powell is a war hero who didn’t run and hide like Cheney did. Ventura has tremendous respect for Colin Powell and none for Dick Cheney.

Jesse Ventura is retired from politics and lives most of the year now in Mexico surfing. When asked if he would consider returning to public life, “I wish President Barack Obama would make me the first ambassador to Cuba,” said Ventura.

When he met with Fidel Castro in Cuba on a trip as Governor, Castro looked Ventura in the eyes and said, “you’re a man of great courage, because you defied your President to come here.”

Jesse Ventura as Ambassador to Cuba? Sure, why not.

Jesse Ventura as ambassador to Cuba? Hell yes!

George Bush is the offspring of a retarded chimp, and Dick Cheney is a coward and a traitor; everything the two of them did while in office was for the enrichment of themselves and their cronies, for the increase in power of their Nazi party buddies (the so-called “conservatives” in the GOP), and done without regard to the harm it would cause to the USA.

Colin Powell is a patriot, a hero, and a man of honor. He resigned from the Bush Administration because he couldn’t stomach the traitors who were running things in the White House.

Cheney, Bush, and everyone down the line, including the lowest-ranking interrogator involved in waterboarding, should be tried by an international tribunal at Nuremburg for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

It is great that Ventura responded to the issue brought up by former VP Cheney. As a Navy Seal Vet he is uniquely suited to talk about this issue. The fact that he has actually been waterboarded just increases his credibility. Also, I am happy that I am not a Seal, also happy that Seals are that tough!

I need a third party candidate! The country does! He needs to represent our country. I agree President 2012! I want someone who is not afraid to point out someones mistakes. I want someone to represent me that does not wax their eyebrows and is more concerned with peoples interests, rather than his personal appearance!

I am impressed by Jesse’s straight forward view of the rule of law and having a One Tier legal system again! I am against tourture but to hear Jesse’s offer to spend an hour with Dick Cheney really would be fitting and Dick’s first dose of honest justice.
Cheney, Rumbsfeld, Wolfowitz, Rove, Card, Pearl, Bush, et. al. are sadistic sociopathic people that were hoping for endless war for their no bid contractor companies to steal all the wealth in the world. They have only lied for the last eight years and should be held accountable for their crimes and treason.
America is Great, bless us all.

Cheney, Rumbsfeld, Wolfowitz, Rove, Card, Pearl, Bush, et. al. have tried to compromise the Geneva Convention and our constitution to serve their war profiteering purposes. They have only lied for the last eight years and should be held accountable for their war crimes and treason. We are safer now that they are out of power.

Jesse is the kind of person you would want to be the commander and chief not only for the american’s but for the world as well. He is a very well spoken strait shooter kind of man that takes the impossible and challenges everything else………….its about time that someone speaks the truth and I think his book “don’t start the revolution without me” is the only left solution to take the U.S back and give it to the people!

Dick Cheney is a coward and a war criminal, the worst kind of human being. He is also directly responsible for the Gulf oil spill and should and eventually will be put behind bars.
