Obama Set To Release Carbon Reduction Plan

May 18, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – In a move that fulfills one of his many campaign promises, President Obama will be releasing his plan this week on cutting fuel emissions by 30%, in a law that was long blocked by the Bush administration.

While some critics say that putting further restrictions on a failing auto industry during this economic downturn is a risky move, others believe it is a great chance to begin creating fuel efficient, environmentally friendly cars that will benefit the US well after the recession ends.

The carbon emissions will be reduced by 30% from now to 2016, though specific details about this law have not yet been released.

We will keep you updated on this story.
