Ted Kennedy’s Cancer in Remission – Returning To Senate

May 19, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – Senator Ted Kennedy will be returning to the Senate after his cancer was announced to be in remission.

According to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Kennedy has been doing well since beginning treatment, and is fit to return to the Senate Chambers to battle healthcare reform.

“This is something we expected,” he told reporters, who had commented on a move that was a great surprise to many.

Kennedy was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2008, and has been fighting the disease ever since. The 77-year-old has been expected to retire for some time, and many speculated that he was pushing his niece, Caroline, to join in his place when Clinton’s seat became available.
