Colin Powell chides Limbaugh, Cheney with ‘Emerging’ Republican Party

May 20, 2009

(ChattahBox) — Colin Powell gave a quick rebuttal to Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh last night, according to The Boston Globe. The two sharp tongued conservatives have been giving Powell a hard time lately, and Powell decided to take a swipe back at his antagonists. The former four-star general and Secretary of State told a crowd of 1,500 business leaders with newlyweds Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, also in attendance: “Rush Limbaugh says, ‘Get out of the Republican Party.’ Dick Cheney says, ‘He’s already out.’ I may be out of their version of the Republican Party, but there’s another version of the Republican Party waiting to emerge once again.”

Perhaps General Powell refers to the loyal Americans who still cling with failing hope to the GOP. Limbaugh and Cheney are fascists; Powell is a patriot.
