As someone who has known Tyler since we were both 12 or so, I think your comments are vague and without any real basis. Maybe you could try to fully understand a situation before you post such rash and harming opinions on someone not yet proven guilty. From one I understand, the investigation hasn’t even released any evidence. Right now all they’ve said is they “know” he’s the cat killer.

Well sir, he may be innocent until proven guilty. But when and if we find him guilty, we’re going to put a little dress on him and let him run around the prison yard. That’ll teach him the true meaning behind being cute and helpless.

Good grief, Olivia. If you are going to analyze Tyler for us and determine he fits the image of a serial killer and a “classic psychopath,” you could at least tell us what qualifies you to do so. And I wonder how closely you followed the policy imposed on Chatterbox commenters, who are not supposed to submit comments that use copyright materials and/or hearsay. As for Tyler himself, time will tell if he’s innocent or guilty…we don’t need you deciding for us.

This is a very arrogant piece of writing – who are you to be able to analyze any person based on such little information. Maybe this kid is guilty, but for one, he has not had a trial and I think this is unfair demonizing. For two, you should try yourself to be eithically responsible. Your piece is not.

If you know anything about personality disorders then you know that killing cats is a behavior that is completely out of the norm. The fact is that someone with a history of such behavior has a much higher probability of going on to complete other criminal acts. Just because this kid is a “nice guy” does not rule out crazy, malicious behavior. This act shows no compassion nor any consideration for the animals OR the families that own them. The crime only shows a willingness to commit evil and the need to satisfy one’s own greed for the unnatural. Smiling for a police mug shot is just plain arrogant. What’s so funny? The writing is on target. Spend some time in prison where EVERYBODY is innocent and you will get a better idea of how screwed up the mind can be.

Our criminal laws are inadequate for dealing with this kind of monster. This psycho needs to be in jail for life but that won’t happen, due to laws that only require a six month sentence for animal cruelty.

He will spend a few months in jail, learn some new tricks from hardened criminals, then be back out on the street more dangerous than before.

Let’s change the laws so that dangerous psychopaths like this can be locked away forever.

From today’s Miami Herald article: “The slender teen appeared in court Wednesday wearing a red jumpsuit designated for high-profile inmates. He smirked and nodded to his father and stepmother sitting in court.”

Even his mug shot displays his smirk! Popular? Hmmm…who says? And as far as his being PRESUMED innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law, that doesn’t mean I have to PRESUME anything about the psychotic little ass. I presume he’s guilty because my gut tells me so. There haven’t been any cat killings since he’s been in jail, have there? And, it’s clear he and his Dad think he’s above the law. I mean, what normal person has three or more arrests on their record before age 18?

This little sh** is heading for bigger and better things. He’s a monster and won’t stop with cats. He’ll be very popular in prison.

I remember another suspect in a string of killings…

Such a nice man. Cordial, witty, intelligent, loved and admired by his peers…

That man’s name was Ted Bundy and nobody suspected him either.

Innocent til proven guilty… But not innocent til otherwise proven either.

So the police think he “may be a sociopath?” Duh. There should be a picture of Weinman next to the dictionary definition of “sociopath” .

As a cat owner of 3 in Cutler Bay, I find it comforting that this “innocent” teenager has been incarcerated. What a relief!! Funny, how we haven’t had any ” Cat killings” in the area since his arrest ???

Hope his dress fits well in the courtyard of prison with that F’ed up smirk…

Bobby – If you don’t have anything of value to add, why comment? You’re a waste of the time it takes to approve comments.

theres a thing called innocent until proven guilty. an unless they have facts an proof he did it. like hard evidence then there is no way they can prove it.

otherwise its called hear say.. which doesnt fly well in court…

but news is full of shit anyways. they tell half of the story or what sounds good. even if he is a cocky sob doesnt make him guilty until proven guilty by his peers. an this isnt helping his case anyways as an example of pure prior stereo-typing..

for all i know all yah could be the cat killer just cause i said so? lmfao.. come on now believe nothing you hear an only half of what you see!
