Lawsuit Against US Seeks Geronimo’s Remains

June 22, 2009

US (ChattahBox) – A new lawsuit has been filed by the descendants of Native American hero Geronimo, alleging that students from Yale University stole parts of his body, and that they should have the remains returned.

The lawsuit, which is being filed against President Obama, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and others within the Federal Government, alleges that student of Yale University, which were also members of the secret society Skull & Bones, stole Geronimo’s remains.

They are asking for a return of his body so that he can be reburied, as part of the 1990 Native American rights act, which ensures the full return and ownership of ancestral bodies to the remaining family members.

The US Justice Department have asked that the charges be dismissed, as Yale has said that they have none of the remains, and that Skull and Bones is not an official society by the campus. Skull and Bones have made no statement on the matter.
