The translation into plain English of the resolution is, "We're embarrassed that yet another of our high0ranking Republican leaders got caught preaching one code of morals and practicing a different one, and we want people to think that we disagree with that behavior (even though our own behavior isn't muhc different), but we aren't going to do anything substantive about it, and now would you please all just forget that this ever happened." Not good enough, South Carolina Republican Party. When President Clinton had an affair while in office, you were all after his head. Your lack of similar action in this case just proves that the Republican Party is the Party of hypocrites. Meaningless.
