I’d be happy to see the Federal Indictment of Bill O’Reilly and Ralph Peters for Treason.
But first I want to see the charges against virtually every talking head on MSNBC, NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC, NPR, The White Press Spokesman, the Secretary of State and Jane Fonda. (let’s not forget about Jane…..)
Finally, the lefties think they’ve found a critical comment about the military NOT coming from their own ranks and they want to see heads roll? WOW!!! Talk about your blind hysteria.
I’m not prejudging this captured soldier either. But right now the story doesn’t add up. The Pentagon ought to be more upset with the idiots they are using to ‘put out the facts’ which would explain how the Taliban managed to capture one of our soldiers right off our base. Strange thing happen on the battlefield. What is being speculated about by Col Peters already happened in Iraq in 2005 by an Arab-American soldier.
If you want to question Col Ralph Peters credentials, then put your flack jacket on. He is smarter than you, more experienced than you and he is almost undoubtedly going to wipe the floor with you – without having to reach for a sidearm.
Go ahead lefties. Make my day.
OK, bpjam, I am questioning Peters’ credentials, his qualification to lead American military personnel into combat, and his patriotism. I am a retired M2 Bradley commander; what Peters did is a violation of Army Regulation 680-9 (which is the same reg in the other services, with different numbers) at the very least, and his suggestion that we abandon a soldier who hasn’t even been charged with AWOL, much less desertion, demonstrates incompetence, cowardice, and a desrie for personal fame at the expense of National security.
Peters is a coward and a traitor, in this old soldier’s opinion. He ought to be court-martialed and if convicted, busted and discharged. How he could fail to be convicted with the evidence having been broadcast by Faux News is beyond me, but I suppose anything is possible.
bpjam, I do not remember anyone at MSNBC or CNN ever calling for the murder of another human being, let alone an American citizen! You are off base here, somehow believing that ‘the left’ has no business commenting on these horrible remarks. Why is that? Because we dared to criticize President Bush for lying to us, spying on us, and condoning torture, which is illegal all over the world, including in the USA? Because we never bought his WMD argument, and are incensed that he was so proud of his war that he never asked Americans to sacrifice one dime (just borrowed money we didn’t have?) And that he never put the war costs into his budget, thereby leaving a huge mess for President Obama? Yes, we are incensed, but calling for the MURDER of a captured American soldier pales in comparison, don’t you think?
And what did Jane Fonda do? She never called for the murder of anyone. As I remember, she sympathized with N. Vietnam. And that endangered Americans how? If you care so much about Americans, you will stand with us and demand that we stop these mindless, expensive wars, as well as eliminate nuclear weapons from the face of the Earth. We are one people, this is our planet, and I’d prefer not to be killing anyone.
