Although not as significant as this woman’s case, I recently had an experience with a police officer misusing their authority. The coherence went beyond the policemen themselves. Once charged with a crime, the DA, judges, and magistrate courts will look at the inference as “guilty by reason of the officer”, so proove yourself innocent. Without this video camera, this lady didn’t have a chance.. I’m all for the honest individuals who are protecting our society, however, we need better checks and balances in the system to protect the innocent from these few “bad apples”.
