I am a democrat ( and not a wealthy one) who is very concerned with nationalized healthcare. it doesn’t work in Canada, it doesn’t work in England, it Certainly doesn’t work in France and it doesn’t even work in the trials we have had here in the United States with the cost far more than what was estimated.

America is the greatest country in the world and EVERYONE who applies themselves can and will succeed. To penalize the wealthy (by making them pay for everyone) or to limit what medical care a person can acquire even if they pay for it themselves is un-american and very socialist in nature. We are not a “collective” group of people here. We are individuals with different needs and beliefs. Trying to group everyone together to acquire “Social Justice” is not my idea of freedom. If you work hard, you will achieve and receive the fruits of your labor, if you choose to sit back and let others do the work you shouldn’t be expecting “social Justice” to step in and support you.

I am also concerned when I see my own party trying to use Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals to sway the public on this issue. Especially rule#5 to try to ridicule American citizens who question this plan. They used this tactic successfully with Sarah Palin and American sat back and watched. They are tired of watching. They are tired of groups like Acorn and SEIU trying to intimidate people, Alinsky rule #12? It is quite shameful. When the white house asks folks to flag them, that lets me know that this plan has great flaws and the democrats know it.

I will be watching carefully what happens. I know the people in my area, (the real voters and not manufactured mobs like the SEIU or ACORN) are against government takeover of healthcare. I believe 2010 is going to be a very bad year for democrats if anything close to what is presently being proposed is passed.
