You dont think god would approve of a preatcher who spread hate, fear or violence in the name of the word of god? Have you seen the old testament or revalations, there is some hard core punishment for everyone. But god dosent like when his creation (man) is undone and gays dont give birth.

I can hardly believe what I have read here. I try to go back in my mind to the middle age to see if I could understand this so called priester. The saddest issue in the modern world is that it is full of ignorant human beings…….

Proverbs 6:16-18 — There are six things which the LORD hates, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and a man who sows discord among brothers.

The Hebrew word here translated as “abomination,” to’ebah, is the identical word used in Leviticus to condemn “men who lay with men as with women.” So what is Pastor Anderson’s stand on these abominations?

This isn’t about his religious beliefs. If he wasn’t a preacher he would still hate the gays and the liberals and the blacks and the “mexicans” who have come to his country and marginalized him. We stand by and allow him to spew out his hatred and we don’t call him out on it. He can believe what he wants, he has the rights as a citizen to express them, but doesn’t have free reign. This is why churches in this country shouldn’t get an automatic tax-exempt status. If I advocate the overthrow of the government, I’m a traitor, but if a pastor in a Church calls for the death of the President of the US, he gets exempt from taxation? On my dime? Bull. Tax them all, let God sort them out.

I can honestly say I DISPISE ALL GODS!! Wake up to reality. Humans make GODS. Rational thinking people do NOT need GODS!

I’m am “appalled” (the only word to describe it) at the hate this man spews and calls it religion. This isn’t the religion I grew up with. Where is “judge not lest ye be judged” and “love thy neighbor as thyself” ? I say again appalling!

Pastor Anderson is not Christian and does not know violence. If he did he would not preach hate or encourage others to hate. To do so is an act of violence. Also, most fundamentalist use bible literal interpretation because they are too lazy to be read, research and become thoroughly educated on religion and spiritual doctrines.

Essentially, Pastor Anderson is an undereducated, uninspired, hateful attention hungry backwoods country hick. I found his church’s website and contact information. Please write him.

Pastor Anderson’s bio below clearly indicates his lack of qualification to preach and lead as a church minister:

Pastor Steven Anderson started Faithful Word Baptist Church on December 25, 2005.

Pastor Anderson holds no college degree but has well over 100 chapters of the Bible committed to memory, including almost half of the New Testament.

Originally from Sacramento, CA, Brother Anderson was a member of Regency Baptist Church. On November 12, 2005, Brother Anderson sought counsel from his pastor, Stephen Nichols, about starting a church in Phoenix, AZ. They discussed and prayed about it and decided that Brother Anderson would move to Phoenix immediately to start the church. The next day, on November 13, 2005, Pastor Nichols called him up on the platform of Regency Baptist Church in the Sunday morning service and had the church pray for Brother Anderson as he would be going out to start this new church. Faithful Word Baptist Church began 6 weeks later as an independent, autonomous Baptist church.

This is just absolutely over beyond belief!! This man should be put in prison on many counts of treason. He is not fit to be called a Human Being. This is just another proof that there is no GOD and all these crazies are running amok!

Hey Pastor – God punishes everyone with the death penalty sooner or later. The problems start when alleged humans, like this distortion, get the idea they have the right to administer that ‘penalty’ here on Earth. There are many religious zealots around the world as awful as this argument for abortion, and they all seem to have gone insane with power and fear. This fear is always expressed with violence against others, or those whom these “holy people” consider to be “others”. The violence can be as small as a young boy hung on a fence in Wyoming or as large as a jet hitting a skyscraper.

I hope this man burns in hell for the comments he has made. God loves EVERYONE. “For God so loved the world that he gave his ONE true son that WHOSOEVER believed in Him, shall NOT perish, but have EVERLASTING life.”

  23. pbg on August 25th, 2009 7:13 pm

He calls himself a Christian, but–wham! right to the Old Testament.
The words of Jesus Christ would turn to ashes in his mouth.

I’ll lay you odds he’s not circumcised. And yet he invokes Mosaic Law.

The fundamentalist concentration of ‘The Bible as the Word of God” enables them to ignore Jesus Christ completely.

Love thy neighbor s thyself? Judge not, that ye be not judged? Screw that! Asa and Josaphat!

And after the service we’ve got a pig roast out back…

  24. Andrew B on August 26th, 2009 3:21 pm

This preacher is what the bible warns us about- the devil behind a kind face! This is how evil will consume the world, through sinners like him. I am not the greatest Christian, but it is obvious that this man’s vitriole is directly from the devil’s mouth, hiding behind God’s ideas. Everyone who follows him will also burn in hell… God save their souls.

  25. Rev. Michael on August 26th, 2009 8:11 pm

Matt 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day many will say to me, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?’ Then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers.’

We need to pray for this man to find the REAL Jesus! God loves him, just as he does all humanity.

  26. Chris in London on August 27th, 2009 9:01 am

At least he’s sticking to what the bible says, rather than the modern interpretation of it that had to be applied to keep it relevant. Didn’t your cuddly jesus say “don’t change a word” of the Old Testament in Matthew 5:18?

Christianity has had to have been moulded into a modern “make your own” doctrine for it to have any kind of following, especially in the US, so the country has prayers at Wall Street, bibles on the shelves of multi-millionaires and everyone dressed up in their expensive clothes for their weekly trip to church, during which time, Jesus is spoken about as if he was some sort of self-help-you-can-be-rich-and-successful-too Anthony Robbins guru. What happened to the “meek inheriting the earth” or the rich man/camel eye of a needle/heaven story?

Let’s face it, if you were honest about christianity, Anderson and Phelps are telling the truth, and it, along with the other archiac out of date religions, belong to a bygone age of ignorance along with flat earth theories and the idea that the sun goes round the earth.

Anderson and Phelps will always exist while the bible is held up by society as being the truth. It may have some good bits in it such as “love thy neighbour” and The Golden Rule, but it’s also got a WHOLE load of dangerous shit in it that has cost millions of lives over the last 2000 years or so. Word of God? Please….

There is no god that we haven’t made ourselves. Atheism is not a dirty word, just a logical train of thought. Reject your made up religion and Anderson disappears.
